Thanks to its reinforced design, the SLAB BREAKER pliers are not only a more durable tool, its high separation power will allow us to separate, without problems, pieces of porcelain sheet up to 10 mm thick.
The dual functionality of the RUBI SLAB BREAKER pliers allows us to separate pieces between 3 and 6 mm just by using the pliers' function. Only with the force that our hands are capable of carrying out. For materials with thicknesses between lSO 1/4" inch and 3/8" of an inch (6 mm and 10 mm), the SLAB BREAKER pliers incorporate a clamping mechanism that allows us to increase, with the least effort, the separation power of our separating pliers.
Grips with bi-material handles and with a "soft-grip" finish offer greater ergonomics when using the SLAB BREAKER pliers. In addition, it includes a practical clip to keep the pliers always closed, either for transport or to avoid damage when we are not using them.
For the SLAB BREAKER pliers to offer optimal performance, it is necessary to previously scratch the porcelain sheet correctly along the entire length of the cut. Maintaining constant pressure and making a homogeneous scratch is essential to always obtain the best results. To increase the quality of our cuts it is important to focus on the ends of the piece, at the beginning and end of the scratching.
The work area must be clean and tidy, and the ceramic sheet perfectly supported on a stable surface and large enough to avoid movements or vibrations during scratching.
The cutting and handling of porcelain sheets should always be done with gloves and, due to the format of this material, the help of at least one other person is recommended.
Please be aware some porcelain sheet models have mesh reinforcement. In these cases, it will be necessary to finish the cut of the piece with a knife or cutter.
